Your finger is the key
Interflex Datensysteme has extended its product range with new biometric terminals of the series IF-735-FP (slave), IF-1735-FP (master) and IF-701-FP for access control and time & attendance recording. The IF-701-FP terminal received two design wards: The iF Industrie Forum Design Award 2005 at the Hanover Fair and the Red Dot Design Award 2005. Moreover, a nomination has been announced for the 2006 Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. With these new fingerprint terminals, Interflex has expanded its offerings of biometric components. The company also provides biometric components for face recognition, hand geometry and iris recognition and integrates all of these biometric verification methods into comprehensive security systems.
The heart of the user-friendly, high-end verification devices IF-735-FP and IF-701-FP is the line sensor that captures fingerprint information when a finger is swept across the sensor surface. Thus, a reference template containing the position of fingerprint ridge endings and bifurcations is generated for the identification of registered employees, visitors and customers. Stored in the integrated memory or on RFID credentials, these patterns serve as reference data. This means that each time an employee, for example, wants to gain access to a secured area, he must identify himself first by presenting a badge or entering a PIN and then authenticate himself by presenting his finger.
These devices are especially easy to install and integrate into existing networks. Optionally, the user can chose between online operation with biometric verification in the central system or offline operation during which all the important verification and
dialog functions are performed by the terminals. With these fingerprint terminals, companies, authorities and organizations are able to enjoy a high degree of freedom.
