Focus on Combined Security Solutions

Stuttgart/Essen, October 7, 2008. The focus of attention for Interflex Datensysteme GmbH & Co. KG, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies at this year’s Security Exhibition will be the combination of the IF 6040 security software with recording terminals, offline components, video surveillance (CCTV) and biometrics. The main message will be to demonstrate the integration capability of the different components, which allows the building of a complete solution, offering customers significant added value. Interflex can integrate not only its own components but also those from partners. For the first time, visitors to the exhibition will be shown the integration of a vein scanner, which further enhances the existing biometrics portfolio of 3-D face, iris and hand geometry recognition. As a result, Interflex has integrated both static and dynamic biometric checking procedures. Alongside the presentation of further features of the new IF 6040 software, a hardware highlight will be the new range of electronic locking cylinders.

These allow the specialists for Security and Workforce Management to complement their offering of online solutions through the addition of a previously missing offline access component. The particular benefits that mark out electronic locking cylinders for the securing of doors are quick deployment, reduced installation effort and the avoidance of expensive cabling. Interflex’s range of locking cylinders, IF-151, IF-152, IF-153 and IF-154, combines the advantages of mechanics and electronics. The usage of existing credentials or ID chips with the locking cylinders is mandatory, which represents a further synergy effect within an existing online access control system. The result is that the credential becomes the link between the online and offline components, which is guaranteed by Interflex’s NetworkOnCard application. Additionally, the electronic locking cylinders extend and optimize the existing offline offering of the PegaSys locking system.
